About us

“HEAR OH ISRAEL, THE LORD IS ONE”

The beginning

In 1996 a small group of Jews and gentiles, who believed in Yeshua as the Messiah coming from G-d, started meeting to pray for the salvation of the people of Israel. Eventually it started to grow and there was a need of having their own location where they could profess their belief in Yeshua and celebrate their Jewish identity in its entirety. With this vision the Messianic Jewish Congregation Beit Mashiach was inaugurated on January 17th 1997.
Today, we are a synagogue where Jews can proclaim Yeshua is the true Messiah of Israel and still live their Jewish life; and where gentiles, that share the same Love for the people of Israel, can together praise the holy name of HaShem. Providing a place where a Jew, a Jewish descendant and a gentile are united to worship in the name of G-d, we emphasize that this union is the perfect and pleasant will of the Eternal one. “For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also Mashiach. For by one Rare we all baptized into one body, whether Jews or Gentiles, whether we be} bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.” (I Cor. 12:12-13)
M.J.C. Beit Mashiach main goal is to bring the understanding of the Jewish Messiah to the Jews.

THE WORD OF G-D

A Jew that makes a decision of dedicating his life to HaShem and receives Yeshua as his korban (sacrifice) is usually much more faithful to the Torah than before, because the thirsty of having a personal relationship makes his desire of knowing intimately the Scriptures that composes the Tanach more intense, and then it begins to have a much more alive and complete meaning.
We believe that the Word of G-d, the Bible, is unique and perfect. HaShem sent the Torah and revealed the Tanach to us, so that our people could walk under His holiness and guidance. In our congregation, the Brit Chadasha has the same importance as the Torah and Tanach, for it preserves the revelations, teachings and prophecies spoken by our Messiah during His first coming. And together these Scriptures form a complete revelation of G-d’s heart to men.

MESSIANIC IDENTITY

It is not our purpose to transform gentiles into Jews, or “Judaise” any religious group, therefore we don’t do conversions of gentiles to Judaism. Nevertheless we do not discriminate any ethnic origin, everyone is welcome among us, thus a Jew that believes in Yeshua as his Messiah is still a Jew, and a gentile is still a gentile, yet all Messianic, according to Shaliach Shaul in I Corinthians 7.17-20.
We live the covenants and pacts that the Lord keeps to his people of Israel, distinguishing from the covenants for the gentiles.
